Lots of hands on activites for the kids!
It's a fun place to go, especially in the summer when it's so hot outside. We did the aquarium in the morning and the science center in the afternoon. I took 9 year old twins and a 10 year old. We packed lunch and ate it on the picnic tables outside the museum and then entered back in. It is very small so I would say your can spend 2-3 hours there but still worth it lots of hands on experiences for the kids to do.

Fun way to spend a rainy day
We were so thankful that South Florida Science Center was open for a washout day on our first day of vacation. Memorial Day was the first day that the museum was reopened and they did a good job with following guidelines so that we felt safe. The museum limited the people inside, deactivated the touch stations, had 1-way traffic and required for people to wear a mask. We watched a couple of the experiments and enjoyed touring the rest of the museum. The rain stopped long enough to check out the outdoor area, which looked like fun once covid restrictions are lifted.
