5 Star Diving, Next to Sunny Isles!!
We had a great experience with Portofino divers. Simone and Giovanni were both amazing. Friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The shop is new, and looks great. I know they are going to do great. They provide a level of service we don't find around many spots in Miami where you just get a ticket to get on the boat. Giovanni and Simone both texted us well in advance about the dive, did a briefing for us in the shop, helped with equipment (lugging, and setting up, and even helped change a leaky hose for me). A great group and I am sure they will be very successful, We will be back and will bring our friends !! Note the free parking upstairs (or use the valet for free too!). The boat dock is just outside behind the shop (super convenient). We recommend them highly.

My teenage son and I have gone diving with Simone & Giovani three times now. Super experience, beautiful dives, great equipment, clean and well organized store and boat. Simone & Giovani are great company, safety conscious and superb drivers. We will continue to dive with them here in Miami.

Great place to get certified with experienced instructors!
Chevy Luk in the last week Simone and Giovanni are excellent instructors with many years of experience. I took my open water course with them in December 2016. The experience was excellent from start to finish. I met Simone first. He is very friendly and sociable. He answered all my questions around PADI vs. SSI via email and phone before I came to the shop. He was also very open and no-nonsense about his advice. For the academics and pool sessions Simone tailored them to my abilities because I had some prior experience. But when I did something wrong (e.g. Used my arms too much) he pointed it out in a funny way. Giovanni is also very experienced and a good instructor. He has a more laid back and relaxed style. The shop is brand new and the gear is in excellent condition. For a beginner this was very important because learning to trust the gear helps reduce anxiety a lot! Overall I was very happy to spend the week with the Portofino crew and look forward to having more dives next time I visit Sunny Isles.
