Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center, Florida, United States

4.5 (60 reviews) Thursday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Spent Ranking #16 in Delray Beach Sports Complexes

Good tennis, good players!

I enjoyed very much the game as it is not a very big stadium and we are very close to the players. The game was also close and my player Raonic lost against Opelka who played a good game and won in three sets. It is well organized and there is food and other stands for in between matches. Parking is also close and easy near the stadium. Will go back next year as it is an opportunity to see some of the best players in the world who some day will probably be in the top ten ranking in the world.

    Great Spot to Play Tennis
The stadium looks amazing to watch a match, for when the pros come each year, but we needed a court to play as our place closed the courts during the Covid-19 closures. I think we came the last day you could play before they had to close. The courts are great, can reserve your time, and the staff is friendly. Pay by the hour and number of players. Great parking too!

    High-Quality Tennis, Friendly Venue
This tennis center hosts an ATP 250 event which is a professional tournament bringing in some of the world's most elite tennis players. Unfortunately, the two players who would have caused the largest turnout had to withdraw from the tournament due to injury, so the tournament did a good job of making the event successful, regardless of these unfortunate dropouts. The tournament has one very large stadium, and many non-stadium courts, but only the stadium seems capable of actually having a match played on it, and the others are more practice quality. The remaining practice courts made it very easy to see players practicing and interact with players on a close level. However, it would have been ideal if fans had the opportunity to linger between numerous ongoing matches of their choice instead of only being able to watch the one ongoing match in the stadium. Within the actual stadium, there really were no "bad" seats that significantly hindered vision, so it's great to be really be seated anywhere within the venue. Attendance was not high in the stadium court, which was in part due to the two withdrawals and rainy weather, but even in the finals, thousands of seats were empty. The tournament wasn't the most professionally run in this regard, and it would have improved the atmosphere if upper deck tickets were either sold for a very cheap price, or even given to local community members just to make the stadium appear full and vibrant. In between games, the on court entertainment was comical and entertaining with team dances and fan giveaways. Typically when players lose a match after coming fairly far in a tournament, the announcer is supposed to congratulate them as they walk off the court for the final time. There were multiple instances where this wasn't the case, and a player disappointed from his loss left the court without recognition. The ticket office was initially unwilling to compromise when we needed to swap our tickets, but the manager was polite and accommodating when we spoke to him. The entertainment and food when walking around the venue was excellent, with many options. For example, one booth emphasized nutrition and gave out complimentary protein shakes which were very good. Others gave out energy drinks, with a general emphasis on wellness and health. Overall, the tournament had slight flaws, but the experience was very pleasant, and it was great to watch some high level tennis in mid February.
