Pandemic experience
Due to the pandemic, this is the first time we have ever taken pictures at the castle with no one in the background. That was unique. Also fun to see the "paint by number" scheme they are using to repaint it. Anyway, always a pleasure to see the castle.

Enchanting castle
I have to say that the first time we visited I was shocked that the castle was blue as I’d expected it to be pink, but it was still a sight to behold. It’s actually stunning and it dominates the park. With its fanciful architecture and fairytale turrets it is quite magical. There are regular performances in front of the castle during the day which shouldn’t be missed, and of course, at night it becomes the backdrop for the amazing firework show. You can’t help but love it.

Close up visit to the castle
In the recent past the castle was quite often blocked off because of performances. During our pandemic visit, it was open to pedestrian traffic right through it. It was great to see it up close. We especially enjoyed the art work under the castle during our walk through.
