Both an historical and spiritual site.
A beautiful historical site and still an active faith community. We did not have time for the tour but the gentleman working in the gift shop provided interesting background information. Worth a walkthrough for anyone because of the history. Many no matter your faith traditions will also find it spiritually moving.

Beautiful Inside and Out
You do not have to pay a fee to enjoy the beauty of this amazing cathedral, but you may leave a donation and light a candle once inside. I highly recommend walking through the cathedral in silence to enjoy the architecture and details, as I was disappointed that so many individuals were holding loud conversations in the church. Definitely a place that you crave peace.
