Sacred Way Sanctuary Interpretive Center and Museum, Alabama, United States

4.0 (1 review) Wednesday: Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #17 in Florence Speciality Museums • History Museums

Interesting, thought-provoking

Though a small place, it was interesting to learn about the animals on site. It was also thought-provoking as it taught me something I did not know prior to visit. The entrance to the museum is $7 per adult and some may think it a little costly as you only get to see a short video and some Native American artifacts and read some story-boards. One does not need to visit the museum though to see the animals. There were 5 horses, about 8 sheep, and about 8 goats that one can see, though the sanctuary cares for almost 100 horses and bison as well. There is also a gift shop with genuine articles to purchase. Anything that one can do to help them out is a worthy cause. The girl we spoke to during our visit was friendly as well.
