Beautiful little beach at Markermeer . Just infront off golfpark Lelystad. Nice to walk there and to chillax

Small artificial sandy beach on Markermeer north of Lelystad
The Houtribhoekstrand is an artificial sandy beach situated on Houtribdijk north of Lelystad overlooking Markermeer Lake and Houtribdijk. I enjoyed seeing several species of water birds living on Markermeer lake. On sunny days it can get quite crowded and water-plants-vegetation underwater can make swimming dangerous beyond the shallow wading area. Mildly poisonous "Blauwalg"can be another problem for swimmers during a rare Dutch heatwave.
