Worth a detour
I am a huge fan of Antony Gormley, living relatively close to 'Another Place' another of his installations near Liverpool, so planned a detour via Lelystad so we could see it. It did not disappoint! Situated on a narrow breakwater, the giant crouching figure truely is exposed, surrounded by water on 3 sides. It is clearly visible from Lelystad and the Houtribdijk dam. If you wish to see it close up, there is a small car park nearby, it is then a 500m walk along a path that is wheelchair accessible. Well worth a detour!

Awesome!
Creating a 26 m tall metal statue of this perfections and art value is something unique. So if you are in Netherlands and want to see something different definitely go to this place in Lelystad. ;)

What a Sculpure!
You'd better see it from a distance as it's a giant sculpture. A squatting man is looking at the water. If you want to get close to it, park the car under the viaduct, by the "Markerstrekdam" and walk about 500 m from the viaduct.
