The outlet has a great selection of brands, which is quite convenient for those who value their time and not wishing to spend an entire day wandering along the shopping streets. Also, the shops are designed in an authentic Dutch style. Astonishingly for the Netherlands, the parking is quite cheap.

Don’t expect too much
The fashion outlet had many shops. Some are focused on the high paying customers. So even though they have a shop in the outlet the prices can still be very high. So don’t expect to get some designer’s clothes for next to nothing. Having said that there are enough good deals in many shops that makes this trip worthwhile. There are also some nice place for something to eat and drink. If you don’t live nearby it will be a day out as there are many shops to go through. Parking is still 3 euro for the whole day.

A wonderland for fashion lovers
We went to batavia stad late December, after Christmas, on a very cool day. It has every well known fashion outlet and some less well known outlets. For a fashion lover it is a little taste of heaven. Even though it was cold, especially with the wind howling around the corners, it was definitely a pleasant experience. We got there when all the best sales were on with most stores up to 40-50% off. Some of the stores, such as Nicki, got quite hectic with people pushing each other to get to the best sales. La place is right there which is a great place to grab food on a cafeteria type basis. It has a beautiful view, although it can be very hard to find a seat when it gets full.
