Iconic landmark in he centre of Ghent
I walk past this old post office (with its small "Big Ben"-ish tower) so often I almost forget how beautiful it is. On the outside it's simply marvellous to look at, and the Pain Quotidien inside has kept some of its authentic structures (and incorporated them well). Inside it's just a hipster mall, though...

Pretty Building
Across from St-Nicholas church, this larger than life building adds so much charm to this city center main square. Ton of character, and truly beautiful.

Nice architecture at Korenmarkt
One of the impressive buildings to see at Korenmarkt is the early 20th century Post Office building (Post Plaza). The exterior is a blend of Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance features in what seems like an attempt to imitate some of the older guild houses along nearby Graslei. Today Post Plaza is open to the public as a shopping centre. You'll find a large first floor with a high ceiling and several businesses operating out of the same space, including Le Pain Quitidien. We stopped here for lunch during a recent day trip to Ghent from Bruges, finding this to be a good option for meal in the area. In the end, not critical sightseeing but a place worth having a look around for those with interest in architecture, admiring the may delightful buildings around the historic city centre.
