Nice Gardens

We visited these gardens without knowing anything about them. We spent a good amount of time walking around and just enjoying the beauty of the trees, the plants, the flowers, the water features and other delights of this wonderful piece of escape from the buzz of the rest of the city. Fortunately there were not many visitors on the day, so it was quite peaceful and relaxing. A good place to visit if you can spare the time.

Lovely spot, good variety of plants
The garden was very pleasant to walk around. Lots of lovely plants to look at, plenty of shade as well as a pond and water features. Google suggested it opened at 8am however I found this not to be true.

Calm after the bustle of the Medina
Worth a visit if you enjoy gardens and have the time. Entrance is free and there are lovely walks down the main fountain lined alley down to the lake with a couple of fountains. The lake has a bird island in the middle of it populated by ducks and geese. It is such a lovely peaceful area where locals and tourists alike go to stroll or simply sit and watch others. There is a cactus garden, massive bamboos and some caged pigeons, doves and a peacock with his hens. There is plenty of seating to take in the various 'rooms' of the garden and enjoy the sunshine and the calm. There are also a couple of cafes across the road. We enjoyed a local beer - Flag and lunch -at the roof top cafe Mezzanine
