I’m impressed with the engineering abilities of the ancient romans and this bridge shows a good example. I can only guess at how I personally might have approached building it in 2 AD. I might have longitudinally blocked one half of the river, while sinking the rock based pylons in the temporarily dry river bed. Then, block the other longitudinal side, while sinking pylons in the other sides dry river bed. Finally, a large team of men would mount the prebuilt rock based arches.See more..
