Incredible walk along freezing pools

We came expecting 2-3 pools to sit by and were surprised to find a trail along the river that can last 1.5 hours in each direction. It is a beautiful walk along/inside the water between the stone walls. In the middle there is a high wall that needs enthusiasm to mount. Highly recommended in hot days for cooling down.

    Super in hot sunny summer days
    Very popular place through the local people, known in the last years by tourists too. Entire area of Konitsa has amazing places and Papingo rook pools is not different. If you are lucky to go there before raining in the mountains the waters which are filling the pool are blue crystal clear

    very nice place to cool down on hot days
    the doors of the two basins were not closed in May but there a natural pools to walk through, step in or if You feel like it dive in. Very nice place to stay for a while, enjoy the natur or read a book and cool down on hot days. It is worth to walk until the waterfall. Parking space just in front on the main street between Paipigko and Mikro Papigko; In summer it may be crowded but in May it was perfect.
