Great hike
Not as busy as the El Pessons trail but in many ways equally spectacular with a high pass, peak and a beautiful lake. Head up as if you are heading for the El Pessons restaurant then look out for the sign which takes you left at the lake away from most people which will be heading ahead. The climb is fairly gentle until you reach the Col passing the small lake where there is the memorial to the Villadomat boy who died . Then the last bit is fairly steep at the top of the Col where you can hit the peak which is 15 mins up or head down over towards the border where there is a lovely lake and refuge. If not turn round and retrace your steps . It’s high so take warmer closes than you need at the base and water and food. Round trip maybe 5 hours
