Beautiful Brixham.
A beautiful harbour for a lovely day out. A warm sunny day but not too hot. Parking : Get there early before 9 at least If not earlier to grab a space. On a hot day These car parks will be busy. We followed sat nav to Freshwater car park. A short walk to the harbour itself. Very tight spaces. Seems to be the same in all car parks. !!! . We used Ringo car park and paid £5.50 very reasonable and we were there 4 hours. Harbour . Stunning , great for young children’s to grab an ice cream and go crabbing and take in the views ( that I’m sure the adults appreciate more than the kids ) . Buy a bucket and net and some bait from a local shop for about £6.50 and have some fun hanging the line accross the wall into the harbour water. Again seems like the adults were having most of the fun here. Lol. Equally the anticipation of a crab in the net for the kids. Watch out for the seagulls though. . All crabs thrown back at the end of the day. Food: Lots of fresh fish restaurants and stalls , it’s the famous harbour where lots of fish comes from so enjoy all Brixham has to offer. We stopped in a fish and chip restaurant outside on the harbour on a bench. . Best fish and chips ever . Read the review of simply fish also I my trip advisor site. A small beach lies on the other side of the harbour. Shingle not sand but if you want a little dip it’s great on a hot day . Beach shoes required. Ice cream and snack stalls near by as well as little nick nacks to buy. No where gets better than Brixham for a beautiful day out to a traditional south coast fishing harbour. Would love to return to eat in the evening.

Beautiful Wildlife
Love visiting Brixham harbour it was so nice to see a beautiful seal & her pup making the fish jump out of the water & so lovely to watch the majestic swan preening themselves & a few of them using the moored dinghy’s as water bowls to drink the rainwater out of them. The only downside was the rubbish floating in the harbour especially near the walls of the harbour baby wipe packet, polystyrene & general packaging there was a street cleaner around maybe the cleansing department could give him a telescopic net to Collect the rubbish near the wall & the boat owners could also help it’s such a shame to see beautiful wildlife put in harms way by ignorant people. So come on Brixham locals pitch in to help the wildlife you have a precious gift with these animals willing to grace your waters
