Woodward Dream Cruise
Woodward Ave runs from the Detroit River in Detroit to Pontiac Michigan. Every summer on the third Saturday in August Woodward hosts the Dream Cruise. This events draws over a million psectators and over 50,000 crusiers to Woodward Avenue between 8 mile Road and Pontiac. It truly has become one of the premeir events in the area every summer. In addition to the Saturday Dream Cruise, Corvettes on Woodward hosted by Larry and Verna Courtney the Wednesday before the main cruise has also become a huge event for the Corvette community, drawing over 500 Corvettes new and old to the Radisson/Kingsley Hotel the Wednsday befroe the Dream Cruise. The cruise itself has turned into a month long event and nearly any evening during the month of August cruisers can be found on Woodward Ave, especially in the area of Duggans near 13 mile and Woodward, which has been show center.....
