A real jewel in Detroit
The Fisher Building is a piece of art to see in Detroit. We took a free tour of the best parts of the building by Pure Detroit. Just go to the Fisher Building site to sign up for the tour. The building has an amazing history. Our guide, Jacob, really has a passion for this building. You could see it in his presentation. So nice to see young people appreciate the history around them and wanting to share it with others. The story about the theater and it’s history of change was really unique. Tour took about an hour and well worth the time.

Impressive and beautiful!
I never tire to enter this beautiful building. As a child of 5, I remember coming to see the allergist every Saturday here, for a year of so, and loved the gleaming elevators and mosaics. Now, my husband and I have season tickets to the theater here and still enjoy the details of this beautiful building every time we enter it. It was worth a visit since nothing built today has this kind of detail or style.

Gorgeous old theatre
We have been there to see numerous musicals and plays. Lovely setting and acoustics, good sight lines. The seats are what you would expect for an old theater— narrow, cramped, and not a lot of leg room (a consternation for my 6’5” husband)
