Perrin Air Museum: Lots of History

Compact well laid out museum. History starts at Revolutionary War and progresses through our nations history to the present; with of course emphasis on aviation and Perrin AFB. So much is packed in and so well explained by the friendly docents who readily answered our questions. Everything is under one roof so the tour was easy and comfortable. Aviation buffs will want to spend extra time but children might not. One static aircraft display. Also while leaving I spotted a WWII Marine F4U Corsair taxiing on the runway. Very cool.

    Fantastic collection of military items
A wonderful collection of items from WW1 thru current time, what started as the Perrin Field museum and has become The Perrin Air Force Base Historical Museum which now includes all branches of the military. On display in the museum is a T-37 twin jet trainer, outside the museum is a F-86L Sabre jet mounted for display. Hundreds of model aircraft, hundreds of pics, aircraft artwork, and uniforms from WW2 thru current day uniforms of all services even a motor ship's wheel off the motor ship Road Island, you will be amazed at the varied artifacs on display.

    Very nice museum
Stopped in for a quick tour but stayed 2 hours. There was so much stuff to see. So many locals featured. So many mementos, photos, etc. Started out with a guide for the first time through. He knows his stuff even tho he was Navy!! Second time through we saw things we had missed the first time. The vomunteers there were very helpful and very friendly. It is well worth your time to stop by here. Allow a couple hours!
