Best beach between Hobe Sound and Boca Raton! Parking available beside the Sandoway Discovery Museum

Sandoway Parking lot - reasonable at $1.50/hour, equipped with bathrooms, but it does fill up until mid afternoon - if you go around 3:00, in season, or on a weekend, you should have a good chance of finding parking; otherwise, get there by mid-morning. Easy walk across the street to the beach. The beach is great for swimming, sunbathing, and, if you are into beachcombing, as you walk along the beach to the south, you will find many shells, including small bleached coral branches. Forget about Palm Beach as a beach – not only are the parking fees exorbitant, the areas that used to be reachable by walking south along the beach have been dramatically reduced, maybe by the weather.

    Ocean lover
    What's not to like? Fabulous huge beach, and the Atlantic ocean, sublime. Water is plenty warm in May, and no big waves. There must be a sandbar, because you can wade out quite far and only be waist deep..

    Beautiful uncrowded Delray Beach.
    Very tropical, water is warm in May.Our beach adjacent Hotel was clean and not crowed. They had roped off area for nesting birds, had not seen them before. Water is clean. No humidity this time of year.
