Junction and Breakwater Trail, Delaware, United States

4.5 (226 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Rehoboth Beach Biking Trails

Adventure is right here

As an avid trail rider, this was just the thing I needed to get off the beaten path at the beach and I managed to do 18 miles thanks to another reviewer’s expert advice. Do yourself a favor and check it out. It was so easy to follow signage from Lewes public libretto to downtown Rehoboth and then back up through Henlopen acres through Gordon’s Pond and up Rt. 9 to Lewes again. Flat terrain, some shade and incredible views. Make sure you leave time for a stop at Whiskey Beach. It’s gorgeous!

Great peaceful walking, biking trail near the Delaware shore
Parked at the trailhead off of Hebron Road and walked about 2 miles out (4 miles round trip). Nice peaceful trail in early March in great weather. Other walkers and most bikers were very friendly. Trail is flat, covered most of the way in crushed stone so there is no mud. Probably would not suggest the walk on a hot day as there are areas without the benefit of shade. While the trailhead does not have much parking, you can park at the Tanger Outlets and access the trail from there.

    Beautiful trails
Beautiful trail. Wide, scenic, and safe. You can ride for hours and see so much. The trail connects several communities and you can shop in the towns it joins. It’s pretty flat so it’s a leisurely ride.
