Amazing Scenery, Great Fishing, A True Hidden Gem on Mobile Bay
I visit this little hidden gem at least once a month. It has just been restored since the last hurricane, There is no railing yet so small children or folks with impaired balance could take a dangerous unplanned swim if not careful! A salt water fishing license is required. But, I have great luck even if the catch is not 'keeper' sized. A good place for netting blue crabs as well. Live and cut bait works best.Sunsets are amazing here! There is also a nice picnic area right on the water with shelters. Bring folding chairs though as there are just 2 benches available. There is also no restroom facilities nearby.

So many shells!!
We spent a few hours on the island and found whole complete shells, not like the ones we find on the Atlantic beaches. The sand was so white and the beaches were clean. Can’t wait to return and spend more time there.

Beautiful beach
We really enjoyed our visit to Dauphin Island beach. It was large and very clean. Nice to walk on. Had restrooms by the parking area with soap, water, and bath tissue.
