Family fun excursion
We booked a fishing excursion through Dauphin Island Marina and it was an awesome experience. The two people working on the boat were wonderful! I was nervous going into it as I had never been on a fishing excursion, and I knew there would be quite a few people onboard. It all worked out, everybody caught something and most people took home some fish to make for dinner. They exceeded my expectations. This was a low key excursion that was great for families with kids. The crew were patient, helped when somebody reeled in a big catch and helped cast out. We would definitely do it again.

Fantastic crew
The guys were so great with the kids. Each of my little ones got to "captain" the boat and then.... throw fish to the dolphins and seagulls. My 5 year old little boy threw fish for at least 30 mins straight. I've never seen so much joy! Most importantly though, the crew is fantastic. We were there during jellyfish season and the guys made sure to pick the jellys out of the catch ensuring the kids wouldn't get hurt. You can tell they love their job and they LOVE loving on people. I'm so grateful!

Check the weather before you book a tour, but worth the wait
We booked a tour online for the Duke which is a sightseeing shrimp/dolphin tour. The weather was bod and got worse so our captain turned around after about 30 minutes on the water. He asked if we were all willing to wait 30 minutes to see if the storm passed, which everyone was. The tour was canceled anyway due to safety concerns and a full refund was promptly provided. From our very brief time on board I can say it would have been a great tour. there were about 20 of us and there was room to move around. the staff was professional, friendly and informative but alas it was not meant to be. The marina is clean, has a restaurant on-site, clean restrooms, and ample parking. We did not book a another tour cause we were leaving the state in two days. Maybe next time.
