Punta Rata Beach, Dalmatia, Croatia

Gorgeous
The beach here is pebbled so take some beach shoes or buy some on the promenade. Once in the water, it's beautiful and clear, fish all around and really really clean too. The beach areas aren't huge so can get busy later but there's still room. We went twice and on the second time got a couple of beds and brolly which cost 70 kuna (absolute peanuts). We also hired a paddleboard for the day which was 500 kuna but split between several families it's good value. There's places to eat along the water, especially if you head south where there's a lot more restaurants. Parking is a challenge. You drive through the hotel car parks to unmarked areas and becomes a free for all. It states 20 kuna an hour but you'll find you can do a deal for 100 kuna for the day.

Beautiful but get here before 9 if you want decent near parking
We were warned to come here early so we literally arrived at 9:10 and the parking right at the bottom was full already Luckily when we came out of the parking place by the blue sol hotel just opposite there is another parking place and it had spaces .. Took 9 mins to walk We walked around to the other side of punta rata.. shady because of the big tree but it will get sunny soon ..!! Plenty of cafes and beds are 40 kuna each and 30 for umbrella Sea is stunning

Nice pine shaded Promenade with restaurant.
We stopped at this popular beach on our trip from Split to Ploce. We entered and parked free as this was off season. Walking to the restaurant, we noted the lovely pines shading it's nice promenade with bench seating to views of the pure blue Agean and beyond.
