Huge range of ability in our group; every one catered for.
We are a disparate and challenging group to meet our needs. The inexperienced included the reluctant, the eager, the cautious and the frightened. The experienced has 2, 30 and 50 years experience on the snow. We were each able to get what we needed. Brilliantly organised location, day trip, pre-booked the kit, which was all easy for us on arrival. Slopes and challenges to meet every level of skill. Everyone very considerate. No one commented that I was more skidding than skiing. Great a la carte lunch too.

best ski resort from Stockholm by bus on weekends
I don't have access to car so I am snowboarding at Romme Alpin on the weekends. I get on the bus from Stockholm central bus station, usually platform 19. Normally I go there approximately 5 times per season and its enough for me. Booking the bus and ticket is done on the homepage www.rommealpin.se and its quite easy to go through the booking procedure. I bring my own gear but if you need to rent you can easily add the rental equipment on the same booking. The 7:00 bus arrives around 9:30-9:45. Romme closes at 15 in the beginning of season but normally at 16 which gives about 6 hours of snowboarding. Depending on demand there are several buses departing from stockholm, I have seen everything from 1 bus to 7 buses departing at 7:00. Usually you just load your gear onto the first available bus and get on it and get yourself a seat. Once the bus departs and reached the highway the guy in charge checks your bookingnumber and hands you the skicard. The card is a one-day use RFID papercard so simply throw the card once you're done skiing. Upon arrival just get your gear and find the "matsäcksstuga"-cabin where you can change clothes, use toilet, eat snacks or lunchbox etc. There is also a common storage to keep the bags and shoes. Busride + ticket cost 490kr during 2014-2015 season which I think is quite affordable. Again, since I don't have access to car I don't find it affordable to go skiing somewhere else. The snowboardpark should have more jumps and attractions, other than that I find Romme alpin very amusing!
