The first of two attractions close together

Less than an hour’s drive from Bogota through some truly beautiful countryside. Breakfast in a roadside cafe looking down on the clouds in the valley. The lake itself is beautiful, with lots of fish to watch and feed. You can’t get into the water as you will get very sick. It’s cheap to get in. We went here in the morning and to the spectacular waterfalls nearby in the afternoon.

    Beautiful, I wish it had more to do
    - beautiful place, nice and warm too. 80-85F - nature walk - no swimming only dipping your feet in - no fishing - so many fishes right at the shallow area - there is a pathway to climb/walk to the top and it doesn't take but 10 minutes - don't forget to stop in La Vega and try their roscones revueltos too, they are famous for them

    nice hike
    From the town of Santa Fe that I reached by bus Portal 80 in Bogota I got a taxi that cost 30 mil pesos rnd trip. The walk to the top of the mountain was moderate plus hike. I would stay minimum 3hours to allow time for the hike to spend time near the entrance to the trail view birds. Bus fair from Bogota to Santa Fe was 10 mil pesos each way. I was happy with the whole trip.
