Great place to visit
This is a really lovely day out, there's lots to see, great views from the balcony in the house and a lovely and cheap cafe. The lady on the reception desk was lovely and really kind. We took our 18 month old and she loved it but it would also be good for older kids too. There's lots to see and touch and we found it all very interesting. We used the baby change/disabled toilet and it had a nice clean baby change table and was a very clean bathroom to use. The cafe while limited menu was good, had a great cup of coffee and is very very cheap.

Lovely little place
What a lovely little place! Following reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to take a walk down to here from Nana Golden Beach (about 10 mins). The lady on the gate was extremely friendly and helpful, we paid €17 for 2 adults, 2 children & an audio guide. The museum is very insightful to Cretan life with lots to look at - our children loved exploring all the different areas, going in all the different rooms and it sparked a lot of questions from them. It took us about an hour to walk around but it was hot and little legs had had enough, the map recommends about 75 mins if you listen to the audio guide at every stop, which we didn’t do. There is a little cafe and souvenir shop at the end, where you can sit and have a drink under shady trees by the beach front. There is a little beach outside the back of the museum which we didn’t stop at but we walked back this way to our hotel.
