    Well worth a visit.
An excellent attraction. The museum was easy to find and we took advantage of central parking just around the corner for 7 euros for the duration of our visit. We were given very good advice to visit before our intended visit to Knossos and having a better understanding of minoan culture was a great help on that site (see separate review) The museum houses an extensive and well explained collection, was not crowded even though it seemed to be busy at the entrance and had a good free guide leaflet and the option for paid guides, which we didn't feel we needed. Around 3 hours to wander round the whole collection. An afternoon well spent. Tip - if visiting Knossos go here first and buy the combined tickets, they are cheaper for adults and save you queuing at Knossos.

    Excellent
We bought the combo tickets for Knossos Palace and this museum which I would recommend anyone with an interest in archeology and history to visit. Amazing collection of items in chronological order, some of which had been made around 5000 BC (pretty mind blowing). Excellent Covid measures in place, from controlled number of visitors in each room to mandatory and proper use of face masks (staff would swiftly address any incorrect use of masks i.e. nose showing). Brilliant to have the opportunity to see some of the original frescoes from Knossos Palace. Even our 13 year old daughter loved the experience.
