    Beautiful Building and Informative Exhibition
A beautiful centre in an old church which keeps many of the original features. The exhibition is well laid out, on arrival the curator gave us a guide to the displays and was very helpful. He was extremely engaging and enthusiastic. We loved wiling away the morning listening to the poetry and exploring the interactive displays.

    Patrick Kavanagh centre Inniskeen
I recently visited The patrol Kavanagh museum in Inniskeen Co Monaghan with my three sisters . We had a vested interest in that both my grandparents were from Mucker Inniskeen. Indeed my grandmother Julia Lennon was a neighbour of Patrick Kavanagh’s . We cannot recommend this place enough . We had a truly magical experience tracing the life and influences of the late great poet . There are various inter active touch screens and exhibits detailing his life . Our visit culminated in the small theatre where we were truly enchanted listening and visualising numerous poems being recited - a true audio visual feast which brought a tear to my eye . Many many thanks to Darren who was a tremendous source of information and who went above and beyond our expectations to enhance our visit . As mentioned he was a mine of information and his enthusiasm rubbed off on us all . I highly recommend a visit - it was food for the soul
