We visited Pioneer Village in the Park-log cabins furnished with period artifacts including from Lefty Frizzell.
Great place to see exactly how the pioneers lived. It's very well maintained, and staffed with an excellent docent. The Lefty Frizzell Museum was a hit for my husband who listened to this 1950's country musician who influenced many singers who followed him in history after his early death.

Visit the Pioneer Village
Located in Jester Park is the Pioneer Village. We arrived on Sunday and unfortunately, the Village was not open. As we looked through the fence, there were several interesting buildings to explore. Located at 912 W Park Ave.

An interesting park and more
This park has a little bit of everything and is used often for kids parties. There is a playground, a pavilion, a public swimming pool, a basketball court and Pioneer Village (a historical museum depicting pioneer lifestyles). You can rent the pool for parties (we have done it a few times) and it is really inexpensive fun for the kids. I gave it an average rating because I have seen bigger, nicer parks in other towns. For what this town has and what this park offers its actually pretty good though.
