Adam is not just guiding you to fish, he takes you on an adventure! From having all the gear you need, to making sure you are comfortable with it, he is awesome! The above mentored gear, by the way, is top notch and well maintained, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable, and ready to catch fish. We caught Rainbow trout, Dolly Varden and Salmon, and saw a variety of wildlife. Even if handling fish is not your thing, he will help you get a picture showing your catch, so you can relive that awesome moment with friends at home. Amazing scenery, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the river, made it a great part of a one in a lifetime trip, I would definitely recommend booking a trip with 5 Dogs!

Best two days ever
My name is Steve I have been fishing in Alaska for the last 15 years. I was on a trip in Sept. 2020 to fish the Kenai with my son Stephen and a friend James and we booked 2 days with 5 Dogs Fishing and I have to tell you that Adam is the best guide that I have ever had on the river. We did full-day floats through the cannon to the lake and caught so many large fish. All his equipment was top-notch. I used a little 5 weight and had a blast fighting the big fish. My friend James was a big photographer and Adam stopped the boat so he could take pictures of eagles, black bears, brown bears whenever he wanted. It was my son Stephen's first time in Alaska and I'm glad that we had Adam as a guide. I would recommend Five Dogs Fishing to anyone that wants a great day on the river.

Alaska Highlight; Five Dogs is Five Stars!
We did a full day private trip of the Upper Kenai Refuge; in a word, “brilliant.” Adam is a highly skilled guy with a very engaging and easygoing personality which makes for a fun day on the river. Organizing the trip with Danette was seamless and communication was excellent. Adam worked hard putting us on fish and we had great success, catching rainbow and Dolly Varden trout and sockeye salmon. He is very organized and sets you up for success. What a day! The scenery is spectacular and the float through the canyon to Skilak Lake was gorgeous. All of the equipment provided is top-notch, and the boat is very comfortable. We would highly recommend Five Dogs Fishing; definitely the highlight of our Alaska trip.
