Tickets sold out for castle tour but still worthwhile
It's a happening site and by the time we got there in the mid-afternoon, tickets were sold out for the castle tour for the rest of the day. But you could still walk up to the castle and peer in a couple of windows. And right by there is an overlook with a great view of the Connecticut River far below. Best for us was a little theatre area with a half-hour production of "A Scandal in Bohemia", a Sherlock Holmes story done old radio style (if you listen to Radio Classics on SiriusXM it's a must). I wish the park had a paper map with hiking trails etc on it but instead you are supposed to read a QR code and get a map on your phone but it didn't work for me. Facilities at the park better than average for a state park I would say.

Interesting strange castle
Enjoyable self-guided tour. This is a stunning castle with an interesting history. We watched a movie before touring the castle. Thank goodness it is air-conditioned because the weather was extremely hot and humid. The views are also awesome. We didn't explore outdoors very much because of the weather, but I think we will return and spend some more time.
