Tons of fun
We always wanted to visit this place and we finally did. We had such a great time and one day we hope to get a boat and actually go out on the lake. If you would like to just walk around the lake and enjoy it’s fun too. We went and the water levels were low but still fun!

Canoeing
Such wonderful natural beauty. Busy on the weekends. Aspen Yacht Club has beautiful sailboats to see on the reservoir. We went canoeing. Lots of power boats too.

Beautiful surroundings. Good family camping.
Many of the sites have a view of the resevoir with all its activities. Power boats, sailboats, water toys, you name it. Each campsite has a fire ring and a nifty bear-proof storage bin to quickly stow camp supplies overnight. If you have an RV, be aware that probably half the sites have a significant slope to them, which makes leveling difficult. The Marina campground is much better for larger RV's.
