If you are staying in Clearwater Beach, don’t rent a car. Take a ride share from the airport…..$30-50 depending on number of people and take the Jolly Trolly everywhere around the CB loop to downtown. Go online to view the routes and very reasonable rates.

    Ride free!
    We used the trolley numerous times during our stay at Sand Key. Stops are numerous so it is easy to get on and off. Gulf Blvd. can be congested and there was construction going on so to drive was stressful. Taking the trolley allowed my husband to take a relaxing ride, taking in all the sights. Currently it is free to ride. I highly recommend the Suncoast Beach Trolley.

    May end up waiting
    There doesn’t seem to be any regular schedule because we waited and waited at the designated stop. The trip was pleasant as we rode up and down the coast from Clearwater all the way down to the last stop and the bus is air conditioned so that definitely felt good. Just something nice to do some afternoon and you can get off to shop or eat here in there if you want. Definitely can’t be $2.50 fare for seniors and $5 for others that allow you to ride all day and get on and off as you want. The worst part was paying for the parking in Clearwater where we caught the trolley!
