Wonderful Nature Park
Moccasin Lake will be closed for renovations and will reopen in August 2018. We will reopen with an updated Interpretive Center, new parking lot and new restrooms!

Home for Injured Birds of Prey plus
Park structures were renovated recently. Fine homes for the birds of prey plus community building housing exhibits and information. Map or visitors highlighting butterfly garden, lake, wetlands, recreation sites; playgrounds and picnic tables. parking available. Quiet. Other city parks nearby. Helpful volunteers walk the grounds often wiih a bird on hand.

Nice to get back to nature
This little park is a nice way to spend an hour in amongst the shrubbery. It's quite dense so you have to look carefully to spot the wildlife. We saw a couple of tortoise, butterflies & a hawk. Best of all we stood watching a mahoosive alligator swimming in the lake! Terrific! Like all these small natural areas, sometimes you fall lucky & see loads, sometimes not so much. Go for a pee before you go round the park though as the long drop toilets are not for the feint hearted.
