Lunch at Marina
And it was fun! Because it was the lunch for pelicans and egrets, who couldn't have to wait for some fresh fish from local boats and fishermen bringing it to the marina and 'to the table'. I just happened to be nearby, and took some photos. Observing these birds and their behavior, I couldn't help thinking, that sometimes they are just like human beings. Or maybe, sometimes we are like birds? Anyway, it was another great visit to the area and Clearwater Beach Marina, that just several weeks ago was as busy as ever. All kinds of boats, restaurants, souvenir shops, rental businesses. And tourists everywhere ... It's a very nice, bustling place to spend some time, and it's just across from the Clearwater Beach and Pier 60.

A Lot Of Activity In The Area
Located right off the circle in the center of Clearwater Beach, the marina is loaded with boats for hire for fishing, parties and sightseeing, etc.. The stroll takes you along the water past many restaurants and shops, but they do have a pay parking lot, though inexpensive at $1 per hour. There are 2 rest rooms, 1 near the Bait House restaurant where we ate and 1 at the midway point. It is a full service marina with more than 200 slips, handling ships up to 125 feet. We just read they will be doing a $18 million renovation next year.

Sailing South
We came South for the winter and stayed 3 months @ Clearwater beach marina. Rick the dock master and his staff were great. Beautiful place, really good restaurants and night life. Beach, groceries, and Walgreens all in walking distance. Clean marina and beautiful sunsets.. Showers average. Laundry was a nightmare because only took quarters and no change machine. Getting quarters at office or Walgreens was a No. Definitely would come here again, but will bring lots of quarters.
