Best museum with Baekje era artifacts

Gongju National Museum was surprisingly a quick visit considering the massive size of the place. The display per area is quite small but the Baekje era artifacts including crown ornaments and pottery are nicely displayed with a good amount of explanation. I didn't particularly like the security staff following me every step of the way but otherwise it probably has the best collection of Baekje era items.

experience of discovering inside of the tombs
This place really blew our mind. There are the real size models of each tomb and you can go inside and feel like you are there! They also had a model of the king's tomb and how all the coffins and treasures were laid inside when it was found. The model of real size king's and queen's coffins(made of Nara cider sent by Japanese royals) were beautiful and so big..we love the history and relationship what Beckje and Japan had and all the trade and culture exchange...which helped making a base of Japan as now. The great evidence was there! And the entrance fee was free...that's just crazy. This museum is so valuable for its' own products but also for a better political relationship between S.Korea and Japan in the future.

10,000 artifacts, including 19 national treasures
and three treasures excavated in Daejeon and Chungcheongnam-do areas especially artifacts from the Tomb of King Muryeong. Inside the museum is a room decorated with items found in the tomb and a replica of King Muyeong's coffin (actual size). Among the possessions on display are the king's shoes, which are very large in size and include 10 spikes sprouting from from its surface. The king would need to wear several layers of socks and stuff the shoes with various other materials to make the shoe "fit." The spikes represented the king's steadiness and hardiness during this difficult time in Korea's history.
