Cold December morning

I was not very hopeful the fish would be hungry on such a crisp morning. Starting off the ride out to the fishing grounds through the mangroves was amazing with sparkly waters, thousands of birds on sand bars, and in the air, it was magical. (and cold) zipping along at 30 mph... brrrr We released most fish only keeping a few fish for the table. On the way back in we stopped at an oyster bar where there were many white pelicans, cormorants, and oyster catchers, Gosh what can I say it was a wonderful day on the water in the 10,000 islands

    Amazing experience
Man, what a day. My six year old son and I booked a full day trip with Capt Bruce Hitchcock. We caught snook, red fish and trout and saw some awesome wildlife/nature. We’ll be back and I’d highly recommend.

    An Excellent Choice
I have taken an annual trip to fish the Everglades for the better part of forty years. Sadly, my long time guide died recently, and I was left with the rather daunting task of finding another guide who could mesh with my preferences and eccentricities. I did my due diligence and searched the web extensively and talked to several acquaintances in Everglades City, but there seemed to be no real consensus. I finally decided on Captain Bruce, who was just one name out of many. What a fortunate choice! Bruce is laid back, knowledgeable and personable. He knows the Everglades fishery extremely well and is more than willing to try to accommodate his clients’ preferences, whether it’s back country snook fishing or small creek tarpon fishing. I feel very fortunate to have connected with him, and look forward to many more years fishing with him.
