Old buildings, farm animals and museum tractors

This place is a nice collection of old buildings (50 buildings, 12,500 museum items), farm animals (15 species, 100 individuals) and museum tractors. There are also a nice cafe, a small playground, cottages for rent and a caravan site there. Unfortunately some small details are a bit run-down but the value for money is still very good. The park is situated in Kälviä (navigator address Eläinpuistontie 2), 10 kilometers to the north of Kokkola.

    Erittäin mukava yllätys!
    Olimme ohikulkumatkalla, eikä tarkoituksena ollut pysähtyä tähän. Emme itseasiassa tienneet koko paikan olemassa olosta. Tien vieressä kyltti ja ohiajettuamme teimme äkkikäännöksen takaisin ja onneksi näin teimme. Juuri sopiva paikka meidän 3,5 vuotiaalle pojalle ja vanhemmatkin viihtyivät hyvin! Eläimiä ei hirväesti ollut, mutta tärkeimmät löytyivät. Lisäksi traktorinäyttely, laiva ja mm. vanha paloauto kaikki sellaisia, että lapset pääsivät niihin leikkimään. Pikku poikamme nautti myös pienoistraktoreista, joita sai vetää perässään tai olla kyydissä. Napakymppipaikka pysähdyksenä pitkällä automatkalla!! -- We were just passing by on our trip and was not mean to stop here. Actually, we did not know this place even excist. On the side of the road there was a sign and we realised what we would be missing just after we drove over it. So we had to make U-turn. ? Our son (3,5 year old) seam to really enjoy it and we parents did too. There was some domestic animals but also tractor display where kids could go behind wheels etc. Very nice stop for a long road-trip!!

    Nostalgic place
    A pretty nostalgic place. I have been here many times. It was very exiciting as a child but not so much as an adult. The historic houses and vehicles are still interesting. I would choose summer if I were to visit again.
