Danube short cruise

We chose to do the 1 hour Danube cruise from doc 6 which was an added option to the red bus city tour, as it turned out this was a good choice the views where amazing. Please note, some of the steps joining the two docking boats can be steep. When you disembark I would recommend a visit to the sculpture of shoes on the river bank outside the parliament building. it can be easily reached by catching the trolley / tram which is front of you as you get of the boat.

    Beautiful focal point
    As soon as we landed in the city we made our way down to the river as it is the focal point. We weren’t disappointed as we caught sight of it – very wide, very lazy and lots going on around it unsurprisingly. Throughout our three days stay we wandered up and down it as it is the hub for so many things along its huge banks. Our intention was to have a boat ride on it or maybe even a dinner cruise but we didn’t end up doing this. Instead, we walked and walked and also took the tram which cost very little on both sides of the river. By doing this, you get to appreciate its beauty and the Skyline from both sides – make sure you sit on the nearside to the river of the tram and get your camera ready!
