Sea or not to sea....

I had the privilege to do my PhD thesis with this place as a subject. The jesuits in their firsts investigations thought that this was part of the sea, so that is why they called it "mar". The salinity of it's waters is at the moment (2014) double of the sea salinity. So, in summer you can easily float! Besides that, this area is a rich environment for the animal and vegetal biodiversity. It is a realy nice place to go and don't miss sunsents... they are the most beautiful that I've seen!

    Mar de Ansenusa o laguna de los Porongos,
    Sunshine, birds and a tragic and romantic story of Nazis, hotels and past glorious days ended under water. Wonderful museum
