Wow ! The clams and oysters were out of this world.
The clams and oysters were outstanding ! We wheeled our cooler in and they filled it up and packed them with ice. The oysters and clams were probably the best I have ever had. The salt content in the oysters was second to none. Stop and load up when you leave Cedar Key, you won't regret it.

Great Experience
This shop was recommended by someone in town, when we asked where to get fresh clams. The staff member we spoke with was very kind and knowledgeable. We quickly found what we wanted, and got a "crash course" on how to keep the clams fresh until consumption. Be advised, however, that it's cash or check only, NO debit/credit cards! You may also encounter limited parking. There's a small lot on site, and you can also park right across the street, on a grassy field area.

Must stop!!!
My family and I travel to cedar key a few times a year. After eating at every restaurant on the small Island, we tend to cook one or two nights while we are there. Southern cross sells the best seafood to take and cook. They have the freshest stuff, a great variety and very reasonable prices! We always bring our cooler, stop on the way in to cook while we are there and always stop on the way out to take home some! This is a must for seafood lovers!
