Cedar Key Scrub State Reserve, Florida, United States

Just a quick stop

We only stopped here for a little while: we weren't really dressed for hiking, so we only stretched our legs a bit. Based on the cars we were the only people there. Our small stop is only worth mentioning because we happened to see a large family of wild pigs on our little walk, and it added something extra for our day. the piglets were so cute!

    Florida Fauna of old !!!
Peaceful and pleasant walking trails with the entire array of Floridas outdoor life and forest at hand. We saw raccoons, an alligator, wild pigs, geckos, herons, ibis, rosette spoonbills, squirrels, and many more. Just a calm and enjoyable walk !

    Short and disappointing.
This is a park designed for a hiker to take a walk into the scrubs. It could be very interesting in the summer or spring but one should be prepared for mosquitos. As a winter visitor, we were disappointed and spent less than 30 minutes there. An investment in some boardwalks would be worth the state's efforts.
