I really like this gallery

It's so atmospheric here. The arches that are 100s of years old, the access to the Cistern and the tiled floor enhance the exhibits themselves. I was there last night for a vernissage of paintings of an artist from Azemmour. Everyone was so pleasant, the works were interesting and the food provided didn't go amiss, I have to say! I've been to several openings here when they've opened up the doors to the Cistern and invited people to have a look. The entrance is at one end of the gallery. Unfortunately that didn't happen last night. It's obviously a hang out for the local arts and intellectual scene and one can meet some really interesting people there. I'm in a newsletter detailing exhibitions and openings, so I manage never to miss one. It's definitely worth the time to pop in if one's a visitor to El Jadida. It's located on the main drag just before getting to the Cistern.
