A very fun and charming district
During our week in Buenos Aires we found the Palermo SoHo neighborhood (around the Plazleta Julio Cortazar) to be the nicest for shopping, dining and wandering of any district of the city. The shaded tree-lined streets are safe and beautiful. Many of the buildings are colorfully painted with murals and fun street art. While strolling up and down the neighborhood streets we found a great selection of unique and stylish chothing, home decor and toy shops. A great assortment of restaurants, bars, gelato shops and bakeries add to the appeal here. We most enjoyed stops at The Donuts Market, Burger Joint, Dulce de Leche& Co., and Sommelier en Bicicletta (at Ave Gorriti 4901) - a really fantastic wine shop. We found the merchants of this area to be super friendly and helpful without exception.

Numerous great things to do
This area of Buenos Aires is another great place to walk. Lots of cafe's and good places to eat. Also many beautiful parks. To make the most of spending time in Palermo, do some research and narrow your choices & what you most want or you will be overwhelmed. The places to eat, shop, walk, etc. are numerous. Make the most of your time there by having some ideas in advance. Plan on at least 1/2 day. You will want to return.
