Fun paddle boating, relaxing and cheap

Once we saw the Lago (lake) in the "3 de Febrero Parque" with the boat rentals we simply had to stay and do some paddle boating. We rented a paddle boat suitable for 4 people, with a small roof. Cost was about 800AP ($12USD) for 30 minutes. Started out fun and fine, then the skies opened up with rain, and we simply got drenched! We finally paddled back and got out, with dozens of people taking shelter from the weather. I asked at the ticket booth if we can extend for another couple hours (as a joke) and we were told "they were closed" - at which time I presented out coupon receipt and with no further words she refunded me the entire 800. Very nice of them to do that! We would definitely come back if we find the time. Very picturesque!

    Gardens or Forests of Palermo. Large area of land that brings together several plazas and parks that includes an artificial lake, Lagos de Palermo, where you can rent pedal boats for half an hour or an hour. There is a large rose garden, paths, bridges, sculptures, and lots of green. Ideal for walking, resting, feeding the ducks and take many photos. In the surroundings there are streets closed to traffic where you can rent bicycles and pedal vehicles for adults and children. There are sales of water, soft drinks and snaks and it has public toilets.

    Urban Nature
    The part is located in the heart of Buenos Aires and is very accessible to just about anyone. It is a public park and therefore admission is free. The lake is just stunning and is very sizeable. You can take pedalos out on the lake or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet from the busy city.
