Peaceful gardens for shortish visit and very reasonably priced

A tranquil Zen garden complete with fish ponds and an arched bridge even offers a traditional tea house.

    Immersion in a different culture
As soon as you get inside you find yourself immerse in Japanese culture. Not only the garden itself, but the statues around, the music, the paintings inside the buildings its waters full of koi fish. If you have some extra time is highly recommended to go and relax in such a busy city.

Highly recommended but requires careful planning
Really worth to visit this Japanese garden but coming just before opening at 10 am. Later on you may face very long waiting time at the counters where a small contribution (650 pesos) has to be paid. At arrival you best book immediately an early (12;30) table in the very good Japanese restaurant. That done you have more than time enough to explore the garden and the small expositions, all very well explained in Spanish and English. An amazingly zen place in the middle of the city and in spite of all the visitors. This visit can after lunch perfectly be combined with a visit to the Malba museum (10’ walk).
