    Don’t forget to turn around
    The view from Lindenhof is one of my favorites in the city I call hone. A walk through the city with guests always includes this stop with a view of the Limmat River, Grossmünster, City Hall, ETH - the university where Albert Einstein studied. The old Roman ruins are actually under the current day park, but for my favorite part - you have to turn your back to the view and have a look at the water fountain. The Hedwig Fountain honors the women who defended their city back in 1292. Fearing attack from Duke Albert I as the men were out fighting, it is legend fully armed women and girls of Zurich were led up to Lindenhof led by Hedwig ab Burghalden. This ‘trick’ led their enemy into believing the city was well protected and spared them from attack.

    Peaceful spot...
    This is a nice spot to relax and watch the busy area around the river. I brought some Prosecco with...and if you stick around long enough, it can be very peaceful. This is officially one of my favourite spots in Zurich.
