Casino Barrière de Montreux is home to the legendary “Mountain Studios” which has seen a parade of artists such as David Bowie, The Rolling Stones or Queen walk through its doors. In 2013, the venue was renovated to include an exhibition space entirely dedicated to Queen, which recorded six albums there between 1978 and 1995.

The Most Memorable Time You’ll Ever Have!
The Queen Studio Experience is an incredibly powerful and moving tribute to Freddie Mercury’s memory. To see his hand written lyrics on scraps of crumpled paper was amazing. He wrote brilliant songs with a pen and whatever scrap of paper was around. It was a demonstration of his artistic genius. I highly recommend coming to the Queen Studio if you are ever in Montreux and please leave a donation for the Mercury Phoenix AIDS Trust. Thank you Brian, Roger and Deaky (and Miami) for creating such a special place to honor Queens music and legacy. Cheers, Penelope

A must for Queen fans
Wonderful to see the studio that so many great songs were written and recorded in.Handwritten copies of lyrics, guitars , Freddie’s amazing outfits, the last spot he stood on while making his final recording etc, The greatest stage performer in terms of rock music - what a loss he was. A fine statue of Freddie Mercury dominates one end of the flower bedecked lakeside walkway of this (quite tatty) town. The museum is inside a downmarket casino so it does feel dark and a bit trashy. But the actual contents are a must for any Queen fan.
