Very nice museum
Very nice museum, in a beautiful location. Instructive and playful, and you can then stroll along the lake or have an ice scream in Vevey :-)

Must-see museum
A must-see if you are interested in board games. The museum is located in a castle overlooking the lake and the 201 bus between Vevey and Montreux drops you at the end of the road. The museum is small but the rooms are crammed with displays. The history of games is explained in English, French and German. There are a few playable games as you go round, such as a Roman Men’s Morris, but others are fragile and in cases. Swiss games are given prominence, such as the local version of Monopoly but there are several games from other parts of the world.

Games in a castle
Very atmospheric location. Castle in the shore already sounds exciting. Museum has a good collection of chess, some of those are truly masterpieces. Many ancient games, some you can even try. There is a room where you can play games and a store so you can take something with you. Even chess at a price 1.600 francs. Outside of museum you can climb steep stairs to the watch tower to see the whole town. And a cafe has a great wine selection (try Pinot noir).
