We've been so lucky to participate in the International Festival of organ music which was held particularly in this Cathedrale de Lausanne and it is amazing feeling to listen to great music in 13th century Cathedrale with amazing sound. The organ is huge there and we've got some unforgettable emotions and feelings. So I do recommend to plan the visit here combining (if possible) with such option - to listen that ancient organ.

An unexpected treat.
Quiet, impressive and calm. Interesting porch on south side. Beautifully carved modern pews in top quality wood, with the ability to turn so that one can face the opposite direction.

Powerful experience (inside only)
There's something special about this cathedral, it's majestically beautiful on the inside. The rose window is amazing especially in the afternoon when sunlight projects its colours onto the floor. If you don't have vertigo try the tower tour for a peerless view of Lausanne. Outside it has been over-renovated and is defaced by pigeon-deflecting wires that prevent you from seeing the carvings which they are supposed to protect.
